Gummy Grin Turning White

I've heard how much a baby changes in the fist year, now I'm seeing it first hand! And we have another "first" in our house:) Camille is getting her first tooth:) I can barely see it, but I can certainly feel it. It seems like our little one has been teething for months! She is drooling more than a Saint Bernard, puts everything in her mouth, and once in a while she gets very cranky for no apparent reason! Now it's all about to pay off with her first tooth! It's exciting to see that little tooth. But I must admit, I'm a little sad to know that this is the beginning of the end of that gummy grin!

Motherhood

They said it would happen, but I didn't believe it. I thought how could being a mom really change me? But my friends and co-workers who are parents were right. Camille has made my heart bigger :)
I'm not sure if you watched the little league world series a few weeks ago on newschannel 5, but the ending broke my heart. It was right before our 6 o'clock show so I watched the final minutes. A little boy hit the winning home run, you could see the excitement on his face! I was thrilled for him, a once in a lifetime experience! But then, a shot of the pitcher for the other team. He hit the ground, on his knees crying. A scene that made me choke back the tears. You could see the pain in his face and his parents too. Their hearts must have been breaking.
Before being a mom I might not have noticed the pain of that little boy, but now I can't stop thinking him.

Fun, Fun, Fun

Labor Day brought the unofficial end of summer, but for us we had some late summer fun:) I had a few days off and we made the most of it!
When I was a kid my parents took my sister and me to Cedar Point every year. Being from Pennsylvania, we always made a vacation out of it and we loved it. Because of those trips I have very special memories of Cedar Point.

I want Camille to have those memories too. We took her to the amusement park and although she is only 7 months old, she seemed to have a great time. She is too little to ride most rides. She did take a spin on the merry go round and we watched a performance of Snoopy and the gang. Camille took in the sites and sounds! For me the memories of my childhood flashed in my head, as I made new ones with my family.
