In June, when we were on our family vacation, it wasn't warm enough to swim. We tried to put Camille in the water but she wanted no part of it! Wow, what a difference a few months makes:) We took her swimming at our local pool a few days ago and she loved it! We started in the kiddie pool. (That's a picture of Camille going in for the first time:) My husband then took her in the "big girl" pool:) She giggled and laughed the entire time. I'm not much of a swimmer, but my husband loves the water:) Not only does the baby look like him she likes the water like he does too. We have a few more adventures planned before summer is over, I'll be sure to show you some more pictures.

Last weekend, for the first time since Camille was born my husband and I were without her. Every August, my college friends and our husbands go away for a weekend. It's a tradition that started several years ago, but this year was certainly different. Camille stayed with my parents. They were thrilled and Camille had a great time at Grammy and Pappy's. We had a good time too. But if was different, we missed her terribly. I called so many times, my mother reminded me that she did raise two kids :) She always said when you have a child it's like a piece of your heart is outside of your chest. She's right. Life has changed and I wouldn't have it any other way:)

I've not had very much luck finding a mommy and me play group. Luckily, there are lots of new babies here at Channel 5. Camille had a play date last week with Paul Kiska's little girl, Olivia. She's 5 months older than Camille. Olivia will be a year old next month:) Because Camille doesn't go to daycare she doesn't have much interaction with kids, so it's fun to see her with other babies. She loves to watch her friend Olivia. Paul's wife Angela and me had an evening out too. After dinner, the dads sat on the bench outside and watched the girls. The big girls went shopping:) Fun for all the girls, maybe not so much for the boys!
