Sleeping
We're getting closer to sleeping through the night:) Camille is able to eat more and sleep longer! Last night she slept from 10 until 7! Mommy of course was up a couple of times to check on her. It is nice to get a little more sleep, but a bit unnerving not to hear her crying in the wee hours of the morning. She'll be 4 months old on Friday, that is so hard to believe. Look for pictures soon!

Mommy and Me
Being a new mom, I would love to meet other mom's:) There are several new babies in our neighborhood but trying to coordinate schedules is proving to be difficult. So, I'm wondering if any of you moms know of any groups for moms and babies? As we approach 4 months, we are starting to get into a routine of eating and sleeping. That means getting out and around on my days off is getting easier:) If anyone knows of any of these types of groups, please email me, I'd love to hear about them:) Thanks!

Mother's Day
I am so thankful on this Mother's Day :) Nearly a year ago, on the same day in June, we found out we were going to have a baby and and that my mom had cancer. I was filled with so many emotions that day. I worried that my mother would not live to see my baby. I am blessed that my baby is healthy and my mom is doing fine. I could not have asked for a better Mother's Day.
But, I was reminded this weekend that not everyone is celebrating this day. I met a young woman, just 22 years old, whose mom died 3 years ago. Her mother was 39 when she died of cancer. She promised her that she would take care of her siblings who now range in age from 12 to 18. She is a mother to these 3 kids and she is wise beyond her years. She is loving and caring. So, today I'm also thinking of her and all of those who have lost their mother's. I can only imagine the pain.
My mother always told me that I would understand her love better when I had a baby of my own and I do. Now, I get it. A mother's love is a love like no other. I just hope and pray that I can be the kind of mother that my mine is to me. Happy Mother's Day!

Picture Perfect
Camille turned 3 months old today. I can't believe how fast time is going! That's why last week we decided to have her picture professional taken. We have lots of her at home but wanted something a little nicer. We had pictures taken at the hospital but she has changed so much since then.
I now have a new respect for baby photographers:) What I thought would only take a half hour turned into a 2 hour experience which I must admit the baby did not really enjoy. She's just learning to hold her head up and seemed frustrated by the poses. I joined in to help the photographer and we did get one beautiful shot of the baby in my husband's hands. It was well worth the work and now we will have a precious reminder of this time in her life.
