THREE GENERATIONS

Ringing the bell to start Camille having a snack My mom & me
the race! with her Pappy!
Sunday, my mom, Camille and me took steps to stop the kind of cancer that my mom is fighting. Many of you know that the same day we found out I was pregnant, we found out that my mom has Multiple Myeloma. This time last year, I helped out at the "Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation's Race for Research" in Cleveland. No one knew I was pregnant and I cried every time I told someone my mom was sick. I made a promise that if my mom made it through the treatment that all three of us would take part in this year's "Race for Research." And today we did:) My mom and I walked, Camille got a stroller ride. It was a 3 mile race with nearly all of the money raised going to fund Multiple Myeloma research. It took us more than 50 minutes and we were towards the back, but we made it:) Three generations helping to find a cure for a disease that touches so many lives and making a memory at the same time:)

Yummy For My Tummy!

Every day is a gift with a new baby. I'm surprised by what Camille does each and every day. She will be 24 weeks this week and she is a pro at rolling over! We started her on rice cereal a couple of weeks ago and just a few days ago she got her first taste of baby food. Carrots! Like many babies, I'm sure, she made such a face with the first bite but quickly learned to like it! She's got the hang of this eating thing, she's learned that if she opens her mouth we'll put some food in it:)
